Holder of a Qld Blue Card, our qualified teacher can provide coaching to both adult and junior players. A-Grade players also provide informal help.
It is hoped that in the near future, the club will be able to collaborate with local colleges and secondary schools to provide a program of tuition for other aspiring Juniors. In 2017/18, Joshua Thrift, a very promising Junior who received regular coaching from our teacher went on to perform well in State and National competitions. He displayed his talent locally as well by winning both the ‘B’ Grade and Intermediate Billiards Competitions in 2018.
Apart from such formal coaching, our top players are also committed to giving practical tips and advice to lower grade players on matters such as cueing, stance, use of side etc. You will find them very obliging and can readily gain benefit from their expertise.
In the past, the Club has hosted demonstrations and exhibition matches by State and National players (even including Walter Lindrum many years ago!).
