Competition

Internal competitions are held throughout the year in snooker and billiards.  Some are graded, whilst others are open or handicapped.

The Chadwick Shield is the perpetual trophy for our major open competition the A grade snooker champion which is played each year.  This was donated by William Chadwick and is presented each year by his son, Ken Chadwick, who was also the very first treasurer of the club.

The club’s major handicap competition is the Crosby Shield.  This perpetual trophy for snooker was donated by Vince Crosby and is presented each year by his daughter, Bernadette McMahon.

Apart from these, competitions in billiards and snooker are held throughout the year for players in three grades – A Grade, Intermediate and B Grade.

In 2016, the club joined forces with Maroochydore RSL and Gympie SC to organise a snooker competition between the three clubs, with matches played at all three locations.

In 2017, the club entered a team in the Brisbane A Grade Pennants Snooker Competition and they played outstanding snooker to finish Runner’s-Up, only losing on the black ball in the final.
