The final of the Club’s A Grade Club Snooker competition is for the Chadwick Shield. It was played on Sat 19 July 2025 as a best of 7 frames competition between Darrin van Duin and Ryan Carney.
As both players having previously won numerous titles, a cracker-jack final was a certainty.
The First frame was relatively level play, with both players trying not to give anything away.
In the 2nd Frame, Ryan had some good moments with two breaks in the low 10 getting him over the line.
But from Frame 3 onwards, the contest turned to Darrin’s favour as he started potting colours consistently with a few breaks in the low 20’s, and scoring the high break for the match of 32.
With only 22 points left on the table and Darrin leading Frame 5 by 39 points, Ryan conceded making the result Darrin Van Duin 4 to Ryan Carney 1.
